Development strategy – a practical tool for the future

From past PER consultants experiences in elaborating local development studies and strategie, some useful conclusions resulted:

• Durable development strategy of the locality / community is a community resources management tool used in most European Union member states

• The chances of public administration accessing European Union funds are based on the existence, but especially on the quality of the Strategy and the pattern of strategic planning it proposes for analysed localities.

• The need for a durable development Strategy, to manage present resources taking in to account the needs of future generations, becomes more evident with the development of more and more projects within local communities.
